Buddhist Association of colorado (BAOC) Announces Grand Repentance Ceremony for Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva's Enlightenment Day

The Denver temple of the Buddhist Association of Colorado (BAOC) cordially announces a Grand Compassion Repentance Ceremony (大悲懺法會) to be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at 10:30 AM, celebrating the 19th day of the sixth lunar month—Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva's Enlightenment Day.

On this auspicious occasion, we sincerely pray for the enduring presence of the True Dharma, the continuous turning of the Dharma Wheel, world peace, and national prosperity and well-being. All devotees and their families are warmly welcome to join us at the temple to participate in the Dharma assembly, offer incense, and engage in repentance rituals to share in the Dharma's blessings!

Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva attained Buddhahood countless eons ago, known as "Tathagata Brightness of the Right Dharma" (正法明如來). To bring joy and benefit to all sentient beings, the Bodhisattva compassionately descended back into the world, manifesting in thirty-two forms to deliver boundless compassion and save those in suffering. The Bodhisattva responds to every call without fail.

We wish to dedicate the merits from this Grand Compassion Repentance Ceremony to all Dharma protectors and virtuous devotees, praying for:

• Blessings and longevity
• Growth in merit and wisdom
• Freedom from suffering and attainment of joy
• Elimination of calamities and difficulties

If you wish to participate in the Dharma assembly, please register in advance. During the ceremony, we will offer opportunities for placing prayer tablets for disaster elimination and ancestral veneration (超薦牌位), as well as offerings of vegetarian meals, flowers, fruits, and wisdom lamps.
